Join us in celebrating the Chihuahuan Desert by participating in our upcoming photo contest! Take inspiration from our newest exhibit, Into the Great White Sands featuring photographs by Craig Varjabedian, which honors the diversity and beauty of the Chihuahuan Desert. Take inspiration from city parks, Rio Bosque, Hueco Tanks, and anywhere you find beauty in the Chihuahuan Desert!
There will be two divisions, a Youth division in K-12, and an Adult division that is 18 and older.
From May 3rd through May 14th submit your photos of the Chihuahuan Desert at the link below. A limit of one photograph per applicant.
Judging will be completed by May 24. The judging panel will feature community members and photographers.
The public will have the opportunity to vote on our website for their favorite photo. One vote per person.
In order to be displayed in our online gallery without being stretched or distorted, photographs must be submitted in .jpeg, or . j pg format , edited for web in sRGB color space, at 1 ,000 pixels wide and no larger than 5 MB. Winners must be prepared to send a high-resolution file for printing. The Centennial Museum and Chihuahuan Desert Gardens reserves the right to disqualify incomplete entries and/or contestants who are unable to submit , upon request, a high-resolution photograph of at least 300 dpi. Mobile photographs are exempt from this size requirement but must be submitted d at their highest resolution upon request.
